I'm Bodrul Ali — known to my clients as Bodge. With over 35 years in the fitness industry and 20 years as a personal trainer, I've worked with hundreds of clients to achieve a very wide range of results.
Over this time I've been able to develop my own unique coaching style, where I design personalised sessions that are innovative and — most importantly — FUN to achieve your results.

A little under 3 years ago I suffered a cardiac arrest and survived only by the actions of my wife, neighbour and paramedics. The recovery process was long and hard. After 7 months my son took me to meet Bodge. I explained my situation and made him aware I also have an ICD fitted (my own defib), he was not fazed and took me on. Nearly 2 and a half years later we still train together with all my needs of my condition tailored. Without his dedication I don't like to think where I'd be now. A 75–90 minute Hyrox-style partner workout — half the distance of the full event, same format. Run by 3 Hyrox coaches with around 40 participants per session. Perfect race prep without the full commitment, and a great taste of the real thing for beginners.
Bristol's flagship mass-participation running event. Choose the iconic 10K or half marathon route through Bristol's stunning streets and harbour. One of the most popular runs in the South West — it sells out every year.
Closed-road, non-drafting triathlon in one of the UK's most scenic settings — Bristol's iconic harbourside. Sprint (750m / 21km / 5km) and Standard (1.5km / 42km / 10km) distances, plus Aquabike and relay options. Run by Active Training World.
The full Hyrox race simulation — Bristol's biggest indoor fitness event. 8 runs × 1km + 8 workout stations. Fifth edition of the event over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Sold out in 2025. Includes finisher patch, race photos, and 5-session training pass at @theGym Nailsea.
A year-round community running series from the University of Bristol — open to all. Walk, jog, or run. Multiple events throughout the year with souvenir medals. Free entry options available. Perfect for building a base.
The classic team-based obstacle course challenge at Badminton Estate over the weekend of 15–16 August. Choose the 15K (20+ obstacles), the 5K, or bring the family for the Spartan Kids events. Bodge prepares you for the grip, strength, and mental demands.

An organised trail event starting in the heart of Bristol — choose the 25km or 55km ultra. Scenic mixed terrain through Bristol's green spaces and beyond. Run by Beyond Trails. A great step up from road running for those wanting to push into longer distances and varied terrain.
